Removing The Sims Censorship

What is See Them useful for?

See Them is a program intended for removing the censorship (blurred Sims) in all TS1 versions - from the original game to Makin' Magic / Complete Collection, in all language versions.

Warning! See Them will allow you to see nude Sims. Therefore, you should only use this program if you are at least 13 years of age or older. Otherwise, do not download it!

License conditions

See Them is FREEWARE. So you can download it without any registration and use it on as many PCs as you want. You may redistribute the program with my written permission, but it must be offered in its original format (SeeThem.zip) and it must be FREE of charge. Program distribution in order to obtain any monetary or financial gain or any other advantage is prohibited. If you obtain my permission you will be required to include my site name and add a link to Simsky.

You are not permitted to modify the program or to distribute any of its components, such as graphics from the website. However, if you would like to link to the Simsky website on your site, egroup or forum, you may do so, but you are not permitted to hotlink directly to graphics or downloads.

The file size is only 0.2 MB, but we recommend you to use any download manager, which supports resuming of broken downloads. If you get a message saying the file is corrupt, it means the file was not downloaded completely.

How to turn off the censorship?

See Them doesn't require any installation. Simply download the SeeThem.zip file to any folder on a PC with The Sims. Close the game prior to launching See Them. Then, open the archive and launch See Them by doubleclicking the SeeThem file (it has a heart-shaped icon). Or, if you prefer, you can extract the files from the zip to any folder and launch it from there. Then click on the right picture (a naked Sim). The program will find the game location by itself and will make required changes. After that it will notify you (in the top-right corner) if the censorship has been successfully turned off.

See Them does not require neither any other libraries nor programs and it will run on any PC. Also, it does not require any configuration files; does not store data onto any systems folders; does not interfere with Registry files; does not gather information on users and does not send any information to the author or other persons via Internet.

How to turn the censorship back again?

Close the game, launch See Them and click on the left picture (a blurred Sim). See Them will notify you if the censorship has been successfully turned on again. If you intend to remove the program, simply delete all the files extracted from the zip file.

What are the parameters useful for?

You can create two shortcuts for See Them on your desktop - one for turning off the censorship (-a or -sa), the other for turning it back again (-r or -sr). If you have Windows XP or if you use profiles on your W98 machine, you can place a shortcut for See Them into the Startup folders - for you with the -sa parameter, for your kids with the -sr one. Your kids will no more be able to see naked Sims!

If you intend to use See Them with parameters, the easiest way is to put them at the end of the Target line (right click on the shortcut and select Properties). Example: Change the Target line from "C:\Utils\SeeThem.exe" to "C:\Utils\SeeThem.exe" -sa .

What if I download a newer version of See Them? Or if I buy a new Sims EP?

If you download a newer version of See Them, just replace the old version files with the new ones, launch the program and click on the right picture. It's that simple :o). No uninstalling required. In case of installing a new expansion pack there is no need to do anything at all - See Them is fully compatible with all versions of The Sims.
