Which error message did you get? If it was "Not a valid Win32 file", just download See Them from my site - the files on other webs are corrupted in many cases, even TSW was the case some time ago.
The program won't also run,if it is not able to read the game location from Registry (this can be caused when using some pirated TS versions downloaded from warez sites or when modifying Registry settings).

If it wants the LL disc, it means that LL is your latest EP installed (There is no difference between Livin' Large EP or the LL files included on the Deluxe or Double Deluxe CD's).
If Deluxe or Double Deluxe is your base Sims version, just insert this CD, because it contains the LL data the installer needs :o).

| I am unable to download your SpellboundAirship. I either get a "bad sip, no zip, or part of a spanned zip file", or it just stops at 33%. I have tried "saving target as". Nothing seems to work. Are you FSF at N99? May I ask someone to send it to me?

| Thank you much!!! I reviewed objects via the SE Object Manager and found a recent download for an NPC that was categorized for both the neighborhood and downtown lots. Removed it from downtown and saved to test. It was successful...sims are now able to enter downtown lots! Needless to say, files for this NPC have been removed. Also, since I did have original CD I have now downloaded the patch. Again...thank you!

| I am having a problem that I haven't seen addressed. I didn't realize that other ppl could get "stuck" on your lots and a few died before I knew you could fix this. The reason I mention this is because I don't know if thats why some of my familys are having probs. Just when I get them starting to be successful they will call and invite a friend over. The friend accepts and then just never shows up-ever. From then on that friend is no longer even on the call list and my family cannot progress because their friends are disappearing and they need X amount of friends for job promotion. Please help as this is driving us nuts!

| | Hi, you don't write, which version of TS you have, if you use any crack and if you use any downloaded items.
In case of just the original (non-Deluxe) game without any EP install the 1.1 patch, which could fix the problem with neighbors getting stuck.
The neighbors will not be shown on the call list, when they were already called or are still on the lot. The neighbors will try to enter the lot 2 minutes after the full hour (e.g. at 9:02 if you called them between 8-9). Check both ends of the sidewalk at this time - in some cases the neighbors do enter the lot, but they are not able to find the way to the main house door (the door closest to the mailbox). This can be caused e.g. by deleting the mailbox to avoid paying bills, which damages the lot. If the people are stuck on the end of the sidewalk, just select one of your Sims and use the Greet action - this will help to "unstuck" the neighbors.
If the neighbors won't show up at the given time, it is possible you have one of the ped portals deleted (invisible items at the ends of the sidewalk). This could be caused by using the "move_objects" cheat and even bulldozing the house won't help in such a case.
Another reason for this problem could be downloading an item, which replaced the phone plugin with an older or buggy version. If you downloaded a phone-related item (e.g. enhanced phones) or if you installed the Phone upgrade from Maxis to any newer version of the game, it could be the reason. You can try to move the phone-related downloads out of the game folder (or any other items downloaded from hackers' websites). This helped in most cases, when players were having this kind of problems.
Another reason could be damaged or read-only set Neighborhood.iff file in the Userdata folder. This could happen after using of any game-editing tool.
So: if you don't use cracks, install the patch for your game version (if any exists). And try to check your game for duplicate IDs, as I wrote to Angie (or move downloaded objects out of the game folder till you find the buggy one).

| I have sims expansions up to Hot Date and running them on the Windows XP professional version. Just recently, I have had problems with screen freeze which requires a manual shut down. (CTRL+ALT+Delete doesn't work). Each and every time, the freeze happens when Taxi cab is in the red screen in Hot Date after selecting a lot to enter. I have tried selecting different lots to enter, but the result is the same. I have had no other screen freezes other than this one. After returning to the game after shutdown, everthing is saved up to the taxi pickup and the sim returns to the lot unscathed. I do run office cop after each download of objects to avoid crashes. Why is this happening??? My poor sims are now housebound.

If you use a crack for playing Hot Date without the original CD, this behavior could be caused by the oldest one, made by D******e. In this case replace it by a newer one.
When downloading objects, it is better to use a tool for duplicate ID checking (e.g. SE Object Manager) together with a tool determining the needed game version for each item (e.g. Palladin's Sim Categorizer).
Your problem could be also caused by downloading an item, which replaced an original IFF file (e.g. PhonePlugin.iff, Carportal.iff etc.), especially in case such an item was designed for an older game version (without any EP or Livin' Large or House Party). You can try to move items downloaded from object hackers' sites out of the game folder.
If you have the original CD, you can download the Hot Date Patch #2 from Maxis website.

Do you think it is a good idea, to create Simsky 2 (a website for TS2, with online help providing) + some new tools, e.g. See Them 2?
We need some feedback from players. There are thousands of visitors downloading our stuff, but without any feedback it is difficult to make decisions.
