Hey Simsky, I just wanted to say thank you for the useful tools you shared with us and the sets of rooms, they are just beautiful.. you do a wonderful job, I wish i can do such a good job. But i'm clueless on how to make them lol

 Dave:10/20/2005 09:52 AM
 Thanks :o)
BTW most of the sets were created by Charmed Sims, I am just hosting the files and enhancing some of them :o).
It is really not so difficult as it seems to be - if you can work with any image editor (Corel Photopaint, Adobe Photoshop), it is all you need for creating recolors for both TS1 + TS2.

Mr. Luv, thank you for offering SeeThem2 for Nightlife. I downloaded it yesterday morning and played the game all day. VERY easy to install, I NEVER d/l anything but the blur was in my way! A great big, hearty thank you, my friend. - Marilyn
P.S. I think the only reason EA made the code unavailable to us is because of Jack Thompson's attack on us. I think, under the circumstances, EA did the right thing, but since my Sim is very outstanding and hops in the hottub naked, the blur covers her whole head and it's frustrating!

 Thanks :o)
I just released See Them 2.2.1 - which can remove the blur even in the patched University EP :o)
EA is out of luck again ;o). I think they did not make the smartest decision with removing the nude cheat - skilled programmers can fix it and players are motivated to download cracked game versions from warez sites, because some of them do contain modified exe files - without the censor.

I think your site is wonderful, been downloading from here since Sims1. You have wonderful objects. Very talented.
One problem I encountered, I d/l See Them 2.2 and when I went to extract it, it said file corrupt etc. I was unable to install the program. It sounds like a great program and hope to use it one day.
Keep up the great work! :-)

 Hi Diana, thanks :o)
If Windows reports you the file as corrupted when unzipping it, it means, that the file was not fully downloaded. This happens sometimes when US players are downloading from the wz.cz server, which is overloaded at the moment ;o). You can download the file either from simsky.parsimonious.org, or from the US websites listed in the See Them 2 section, or from MTS2 :o).

Thank you for the blur remover. I had to re-install my TS1 set recently and hadn't saved the one I used before. Your SEE THEM program is a wonderful addition. Now my teenager can play my game and not worry about nudity and when I play I can turn the blur again to see my Sims in all their natural glory. THANKS AGAIN!!

 Thanks, Dee :o)
I am glad there are people still playing TS1 :o)

 Thanks :o)
We will release next part of the TS1 sets in about one week - a few bath sets this time. And we are going to create new TS2 items similar to those we made for TS1 soon :o).

My SIMS Wallpaper previews don't match the wallpaper. I play the original Sims game.

 Dave:08/02/2005 05:35 PM
Hi, this bug is fixed in the 1.1 patch for the oldest game version - this patch used to be available at Maxis website and you can still find it at many Sims sites.
You must have the original (non cracked) game version, or the patch will not be fully installed.

I had Daemon Tools running. Will try again, but I had to use an image of the cd to install, since it kept giving me errors otherwise. Hmmmm...maybe I'm out of luck? :-(

Thanks again for all your good help.

Hi Tes, if the CD gave you errors while installing, you should have claimed it. If you did the image of the CD from your corrupted copy, the image has the same errors like the CD.
And of course, you have to use a crack when launching the game from virtual drive - the original game file (protected by Safedisc) detects using an emulator and shows a warning. If you ignore it, the game just crashes from this moment on ;o). So you have to get a no-CD crack for the latest EP you have installed - you can stop using Daemon tools after it, because the CD will no more be required.
If the installation CD was really damaged, try to get a new one and try installing the EPs again, without any emulator.

Hi there. Thanks for replying.

1. All my games are bought and paid for. :-)

2. I am the administrator under Win XP.

3. I tried the LL install fix. Didn't work.Sorry, I musta been mistaken about the maxis patch. I thought it was in your tips & tricks area.

4. I removed all downloads.

5. Didn't have anivirus running during install.

6. Didn't have the phone upgrade. I looked for "phones.iff", etc., like I heard others do, but I don't have that file. And the only thing I have installed from maxis is Sims File Cop.

Thanks for your help. You rock. :-)

Hi Tessa, did removing all the downloads help :o)?
If not, I am afraid I have no other ideas how to help you ;o).
BTW not only antiviruses, but also tools like Norton utilities or some CD/DVD emulators do cause problems in many cases, especially when the virtual drives are enabled.

Tessa07/18/2005 09:13 PM
...and btw, I've uninstalled and reinstalled TS1 and HD, skipping LL altogether for now. And it runs great. BUT...LL is my favourite and I would *dearly* love to get it working.

 Possible reasons of this problem:

1) you used a crack for the base game version. If this was the case and you did not reset the read-only attribute of the cracked EXE and ICD files, LL was not fully installed, because it was not able to replace the files with newer versions. HD no more needs to replace one of the files, so it could be installed right without installing LL. A simple test: if the EXE and ICD files had similar size before installing HD, you played a cracked version.

2) if you have Windows XP, your account is not included in the Administrators group, so the installer was not able to change some settings in Registry. Simply check it in Control Panels.

3) if you have original version of LL, you can try to use the fixed LL installer, it helps sometimes. But I think the file is no longer at Maxis website. BTW I have not created any LL patch, don't know what you mean.

4) you have some corrupted user-created files in your game folder. Try to move all downloads out of the game folder.

5) some resident programs have not allowed access to Registry or to some system areas when installing the game. Try to turn off all programs like antiviruses, antispywares, system monitoring tools etc. before starting the installation.

6) you used the Phone Upgrade made by Maxis - this item works only in the base game version. If this is your case, I will give you more info - deleting some files helps :o).
